Douglas James Cottrell Psychic Prophet Lecturer Author

ABOUT DOUGLAS JAMES COTTRELL

Douglas James Cottrell, PhD is best known as a trance clairvoyant (or psychic). He is a spiritual healer, teacher and published author. He holds a doctorate in Therapeutic Counseling.

Douglas demonstrates many abilities studied by Noetic Sciences, including:
• Telepathy
• Telekinesis
• Remote Viewing
• Prediction
• Prophecy
He is one of a select few able to demonstrate all of these abilities, and even fewer who are considered a reliable information source.

Douglas's Deep Trance Meditation (DTM) style is often compared to that of Edgar Cayce, one of the most documented medical intuitives of the Twentieth Century. Douglas has been variously called a mystic, seer, "The Man With the X-ray Eyes," and "the last of the sleeping prophets" (i.e. Edgar Cayce, Ross Peterson, and Paul Solomon).

He has counselled people the world over, from all walks of life, including doctors, researchers, judges, CEOs, politicians, teachers, writers, producers, artists, members of the clergy, members of the military, law enforecement personnel, and even those in the entertainment industry. Some of his more well-known clients include George Carlin (comedian), Joyce DeWitt (actor), Princess Amanda Borghese (business owner), Countess Helen de Silaghi (artist), and Gina Cerminara (author).

Douglas's Story: A Father's Love
A self-described skeptic, Douglas's mind had been opened to the possibilities of psychic phenemona in 1975 when a a co-worker at the Toronto Star handed Douglas a book about Cayce. He found Cayce's ability to be genuine. He was inspired to seek out other individuals like Cayce in order to help his daughter, Cheri-Anne, who had been living in a crippled children's institution since the age of two (Plainfield Children's Home in Belleville, Ontario). That search led him to Ross Peterson, dubbed by the media as "The New Edgar Cayce."

In trance, Ross was able to discuss Cheri-Anne's condition from hundreds of miles away as if he were reading her medical chart. Ross described trauma that Cheri-Anne endured at birth which was causing the epileptic seizures. He could not have known that information. On the strength of that single session, Douglas and Karen took Cheri-Anne out of the institution (depsite resistance from friends and the medical advice at the time) and applied the remedies Ross suggested to bring her back to health. Her life was spared. "I have to find out if I can do this too," Douglas said. "If only one child is helped, it will be worth it!"

Inspired by what he had experienced first-hand with a genuine intuitive, Douglas began to study everything he could on the unseen spiritual world - from chakras and the aura to energy healing, dreams, and meditation. Aided by his family doctor and his chiropractor, Douglas began conducting experiments in deep trance meditation and remote viewing. The medical doctor and chiropractor were able to confirm that what Douglas was seeing was not imagination or conjecture. As his confidence and trust in this ability grew, Douglas was able to learn to entering deeper and deeper levels of consciousness.

Since 1975, Douglas has given an estimated 25,000 Deep Trance Meditation "readings," all of which have been documented and recorded. The readings cover a broad range of topics from health and well-being to spirituality and soul's purpose, past lives, karma, and even unsolved mysteries, ancient history, and predictions about the future, including future earth changes and the economy. He relies on very little promotion and has shied away from public recognition throughout his career.

Over the years, Douglas has continued in his quest toward enlightenment and spiritual development. His mystical studies have taken him to schools, churches, temples, ashrams and sacred sites in Europe and India and throughout North America. He has studied the major religions of the world, as well as the ancient mystical societies such as the Freemasons and the Rosicrucians. He has not led an easy life, however, and Douglas has faced financial hardship and abuses at the hands of those who strive to taint his reputation. He constantly struggles against bias and prejudice for his spiritual beliefs, not to mention those who find the claims of his intuitive ability to be too amazing to be believed.
